Jim Martin

I'm a design engineer making tools and toys for creativity. I think a lot about how software becomes culture. A tool's design shapes what people can imagine, what they make, and who they become making it.

Today I work on Roblox Studio, the tool behind every Roblox game, and many young people's first experience creating software. I've also designed tools for professional artists at Netflix Animation and Pixar, and for casual creators at Artbreeder.
